Job Summary:

Senior Vice President – Distribution

Fully remote U.S.‑based position. Applicants from across the U.S. are welcome, with preference for candidates based in the Midwest, Southeast, Southwest, and Mountain West regions. Preferred states list follows at the end.

Base Salary and Compensation

Base Salary: $170,000–$250,000* + Variable Compensation + Equity. *Actual base salary is dependent on experience and geographic location.

Role Overview

The Senior Vice President – Distribution is a key leadership position that provides strategic direction, operational plans, and processes to drive revenue growth and achieve core financial objectives. The role manages goal‑setting across all distribution levels, utilizes data and technology to measure key performance indicators, and enhances renewal processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maximize revenue, profitability, growth, and retention of Embroker’s insurance product distribution.
  • Accountable for setting sales quotas and meeting or exceeding revenue targets quarterly.
  • Participate in or negotiate strategic high‑value sales.
  • Identify, negotiate, launch, and scale net‑new channel relationships, including embedded APIs and co‑selling opportunities.
  • Create capabilities to analyze the business environment and understand competitors.
  • Oversee prospecting and appointment of agents to build a strong distribution channel.
  • Lead independent agency partners through coaching, performance management, and development goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing to enhance product positioning and drive new market opportunities.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise and support cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Maintain industry knowledge through memberships and industry events.
  • Represent the Distribution team in meetings and communicate performance and initiatives.
  • Assist with internal marketing efforts to drive sales.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of Commercial Lines sales and marketing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry; expertise in E&O, Cyber, BOP, GL, WC and specialty lines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Reputation as a strong mentor, developer, and talent attractor; ability to follow and lead cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with proactive sales growth ideas.
  • Creates a culture of accountability to deliver world‑class products and services.
  • Entrepreneurial‑minded, self‑starter, disciplined, and results‑oriented.
  • Team player fostering an open and transparent environment with diverse skill sets.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a remote work environment and work cross‑culturally on a global team.
  • Comfortable with extended computer work and sitting at a desk.
