This is a high travel position. Must be willing to travel, with overnight hotel stays, up to 5 nights per week every week.
Overview
Reynolds and Reynolds is looking for experienced automotive professionals to join our consulting team. Our superior software solutions, award‑winning sales, service, and support have made us one of the most recognized and respected companies in the automotive industry.
Recruiting Automotive Business Consultants to help dealership personnel identify trouble areas and apply proven consulting programs. At the end of each project, consultants maintain relationships and offer ongoing fee‑for‑service support, building trust that drives consulting services sales.
Responsibilities
As an Automotive Business Consultant, your primary focus is to establish professional relationships with customers and help their businesses become more efficient, effective, and profitable. You will work with dealership personnel to identify trouble areas within the dealership and then use established consulting services programs and industry knowledge to solve these issues. Once a project is complete, you will follow up with customers to maintain relationships and provide ongoing support and problem resolution.
Working Conditions
Driving to customer sites (sitting average 1‑4 hours) or flying to Canada.
Customer visits require frequent standing up to 8 hours a day, with a 1 hour lunch break.
Packing, lifting, and carrying personal luggage up to 50 lbs (15 minutes‑1 hour a day).
Simple grasping and fine manipulation (both hands) 3‑6 hours a day (pointer/mouse).
Computer screen work up to 8 hours a day.
Compensation & Training
Your compensation during training will be a $68,000‑70,000 base salary. You will be eligible for quarterly bonuses after the 6‑9 month training period. Total targeted income after training (including base and bonuses) is $90,000+.
Training includes time with experienced consulting and sales representatives in the field for approximately 90 days, online courses completed in the home office, and classroom instruction in Dayton, OH and Houston, TX.
Requirements
3+ years of automotive dealership management experience (sales manager, internet sales manager, business development manager).
High School Diploma or equivalent;
Bachelor's preferred but not required.
Must be willing to travel extensively overnight (up to 5 nights per week).
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last three years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last five years.
Must have reliable home internet with sufficient bandwidth for video conferencing.
Able to travel to the United States for company‑paid training when deemed appropriate.
