Position: Technical Sales Associate - Heat Treat Services

(AHT) as our Technical Sales Associate. You would be working for a family-owned business with a very friendly atmosphere that is an established leader in our industry.

Customer service is paramount to our success. We are looking for a dynamic and resourceful leader with exceptional interpersonal skills to attract, engage, manage and build relationships with new or existing customers. This position will work from our Cullman, AL facility and reports to the Sales Team Manager as part of the Sales and Marketing team.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a key cross‑functional contributor and collaborative member of the Sales and Marketing team.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and follow up on leads from website traffic, email, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Ensure pricing of all products meets expected profit margin and adjust pricing based on competition, supply, and demand.
  • Attend occasional trade shows or conferences to develop leads and continue professional growth.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through in‑person visits, email, and phone calls.
  • Manage customer communication to ensure satisfaction.
  • Analyze statistics or other data from our CRM system to identify opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the operations manager to ensure orders are delivered and exceed customer expectations.
  • First 60–90 days of onboarding will focus on learning operations and the quoting process.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technical field, preferred, and 3+ years in industrial customer service or sales.
  • Prior heat treat and/or sales experience is a plus.

Position will require travel throughout your assigned territory. This position offers flexibility with on‑site and remote work. Travel is expected to be 50% of the month.
