Field Sales Professional – BSN SPORTS
Full-time Hybrid – Must be based in New Haven, CT and travel 2–5 days per week within the territory.
CompensationBase: $55,000–$60,000 annually. Additional performance-based incentives may be earned.
Location and TravelHybrid environment (home office and field-based). Must reside in or near the territory to manage local client relationships.
Travel primarily local to schools and organizations within the territory; occasional out-of-area or overnight travel may be expected.
Work HoursHours may vary based on customer needs. Evenings and weekends may be required.
Responsibilities- Provide best-in-class consultative customer service to coaches, clubs, youth leagues, YMCA organizations, and other community-based athletic programs within the assigned territory.
- Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
- Actively develop and qualify leads within the territory through cold-calling and lead-generation campaigns.
- Handle rejection with resilience and persistently transform challenges into opportunities.
- Navigate the company’s CRM for prospecting, account management, activity tracking, and support sales and customer relationship efforts.
- Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
- Utilize data-driven business intelligence to identify new trends and opportunities.
- Manage account list and travel to locations within the assigned territory.
- Demonstrate high level of self-direction and autonomy in managing tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and optimize efficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM.
- Maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
- 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) or coaching/sports-related background.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Hybrid environment includes prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and driving.
