Solutions Sales Engineer – North America
Lenovo is seeking an early‑career Sales Engineer to drive digital transformation in the datacenter domain.
Role OverviewThis junior‑level role focuses on consultative sales of Lenovo’s Data Center solutions, including AI, Converged, Hyper‑converged, and Software‑Defined Data Center solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Leveraging knowledge in data center technologies for consultative sales
- Engaging with enterprise and acquisition prospects across various industries
- Understanding and articulating the market dynamics and benefits of advanced data center technologies, especially in areas like Converged, Hyper‑converged, and Software‑Defined solutions
- Developing and executing a business plan to meet and exceed sales targets
- Building and expanding customer relationships through a strategic sales planning approach
- Compute Platforms, particularly Servers used in the data center and edge
- Storage solutions, Hypervisors, and Software‑Defined Storage
- Understanding of Hybrid Cloud Solutions, Converged Platforms, Containers, Microservices, and Cloud Workload Placement
- Develop and expand skills in solution sizing and systems management
- Potential to drive data center opportunities and articulate solution benefits
- Foundational knowledge of the IT marketplace and advanced data center technologies
- Budding skills in consultative selling, technology sales, and communication
- Eager to learn about complex sales cycles and strategies to engage with SMB and Public Sector customers
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Entry‑level experience or internships in sales, particularly in technology‑focused roles
- Exposure to or interest in Converged, Hyperconverged, and Software‑Defined Solutions
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Interest in developing sales strategies and working with Channel partners and technology partners
- Team player attitude, open to learning and adapting to new environments
- Ability to travel to territory 20% of the time
Salary: $115k – $125k per year, subject to performance bonus and commission.
