BSN SPORTS, a leading distributor of team athletic gear, is seeking a Full‑time Field Sales Professional for the Nashville/ Davidson County area.
Work TypeFull‑time Hybrid – must live in and travel 2‑5 days per week within the territory.
CompensationBase draw of $55,000‑$65,000 annually plus performance‑based incentives, with variability based on education, experience, location, and market alignment.
Location Details- Hybrid environment: home office, school, community, and event locations.
- Territory sales – must reside full‑time in or near the location to manage local client relationships and maximize sales opportunities.
Hours may vary based on customer needs; evenings and weekends may be required.
Travel RequirementPrimarily local to schools and organizations within the territory (2‑5+ days per week) with some out‑of‑area and overnight travel possible.
How You Will Make an ImpactThe Field Sales Professional serves as a consultative partner to schools, clubs, travel programs, youth leagues, YMCA organizations, and other community‑based athletic programs. The role drives full‑cycle sales—from prospecting and lead generation to account management and post‑sale service—while simplifying operations for coaches and program leaders.
What You Will Do- Provide consultative customer service to coaches across an assigned territory.
- Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
- Develop and qualify leads through cold calling and lead generation campaigns.
- Show resilience to handle rejection and persistence to turn challenges into opportunities.
- Navigate multiple functions within the CRM, including prospecting, account management, and activity tracking.
- Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
- Utilize data‑driven business intelligence on prospects to identify new trends and opportunities.
- Manage your account list and travel on site within the assigned territory.
- High level of self‑direction and autonomy in managing tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong time‑management skills to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM skills.
- Cultivate a distraction‑free in‑home office environment.
- 3+ years B2B outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) OR coaching/sports‑related background.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a good driving record.
