Position: Account Executive--Private Childcare (West Coast, Northern CA preferred) (Remote)

Location: Denton, Texas

Responsibilities
  • Must reside on the West Coast, Northern CA preferred.
  • Build and maintain expertise on Teaching Strategies products and the competitive landscape for early childhood development.
  • Achieve defined sales revenue numbers for the assigned territory.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a strategic sales plan for the territory.
  • Actively seek to uncover and meet the needs of customers and prospects by building collaborative relationships and delivering solutions.
  • Participate in license and renewal/upsell call campaigns and marketing programs to uncover new business opportunities in the assigned territory.
  • Qualify leads and work collaboratively with the field sales team to complete the full sales cycle, or handle the full cycle for customers of a certain size.
  • Strategically and creatively manage opportunity pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain product and industry knowledge.
  • Use Salesforce to track pipeline information and maintain all sales‑related progress.
  • Maintain existing relationships with customers and channel customer feedback appropriately.
  • Communicate regularly with the Manager and other members of the sales team.
  • Follow up timely on all phone and email communication regarding potential sales opportunities, document and keep track of all communication.
  • Communicate regularly with clients within the territory regarding new products, renewals, and overall experience.
  • Strategically travel to clients throughout the assigned territory, as needed.
  • Occasional domestic travel required for in‑person team, department, and company meetings.
Qualifications
  • Must reside on the West Coast, Northern CA preferred.
  • 2‑4 years of experience in inside sales with a track record of success; education or technology sales experience highly desired; experience selling to private childcare organizations preferred.
  • Experience performing market analysis and building/managing a sales pipeline.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM solution highly desired.
  • Ability to work a schedule to accommodate an assigned territory.
  • Mastery of successful selling skills such as listening, determining needs, answering questions, proposing solutions, and closing the sale.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and build relationships.
  • Knowledge of educational structures and ability to sell to multiple decision makers at multiple levels is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and presentation skills.
