A Day in the LifeWe are seeking a committed professional to join our team. This is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, but the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver’s license is essential for this role.
Sales Representative – Pelvic Health (San Francisco)The Medtronic Interstim Sales Representative will manage territory-based business and growth by initiating, supporting, and developing strategic implanting centers and assisting in developing key referral networks. In certain geographies, they will also have primary responsibility for development of referral networks. Act as primary account/implanter relationship contact for assigned territory’s customer needs including account level reimbursement responsibility. Includes coordination of all support activities and development of sales partnerships with distribution alliances.
Field-BasedPosition
Required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. Travel outside the territory is expected, presenting opportunities for broader engagement.
Responsibilities- Sell Interstim devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff.
- Partner with strategic implanting centers to develop the account/implanter practice by:
- Providing product and therapy technical support and service.
- Consulting on strategic management and analysis of trends.
- Utilizing appropriate Neuro business partners to present marketing and business plans to accounts for territory development and growth.
- Other activities as they arise, as assigned by sales leadership.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years of experience*
- OR Associate's Degree AND 4+ years of experience*
- OR Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years of experience*
* Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
Nice to Have- Solid knowledge of the reimbursement climate.
- Experience calling on physicians in one or more referral accounts (Neurology, Urology, Colo-Rectal Surgeons).
- Experience in developing new, innovative markets.
- Experience making multiple referral calls daily.
- Familiarity with the O.R.
- Business planning/consulting and territory financial analysis skills; preferred knowledge of managed care.
- Experience with physiology/clinical therapies.
- Experience with implantable devices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills.
- Team oriented.
- Conceptual/consultative sales skills.
- Understanding of all quality policy/system items that are applicable.
- Ability to follow all work/quality procedures to ensure compliance and high quality work.
Job Requirements
- Frequent required travel to customer clinics, hospitals, and off-site meetings.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy. Driving record will be reviewed and considered as part of the application.
- Must be able to drive approximately 50% of the time within assigned territory and may require overnight travel.
- Competitive salary (USD $65,000.00).
- Eligible for Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) for exceeding goals.
