WORKTYPE
Full‑time Hybrid – Must live and travel 2–5 days per week in the territory.
COMPENSATIONThe base draw range is $55,000–$65,000 annually plus potential performance‑based incentives. Base draw salary will vary based on education, experience, qualification, location, internal equity and market alignment.
LOCATION DETAILSNashville / Davidson County area.
- Hybrid environment between home office, school, community and event environments.
- Territory sales – must reside in/near the location full‑time to manage local client relationships and maximize sales opportunities.
Hours may vary based on the customer’s needs. Evenings and weekends may be required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTPrimarily local to schools and organizations within the territory (2–5+ days a week). Some out‑of‑the‑area and overnight travel may be expected.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACTThe Field Sales Professional will serve as a consultative partner to schools, club, travel, youth leagues, YMCA organizations and other community‑based athletic programs within the assigned territory. The role drives full‑cycle sales execution – from proactive prospecting and lead generation to account management and post‑sale service – while delivering best‑in‑class support that simplifies operations for coaches and program leaders.
Leveraging CRM tools, data insights and disciplined territory planning, the Field Sales Professional will identify growth opportunities, expand multi‑sport penetration within existing accounts and build a strong pipeline of new business. Through consistent in‑person engagement, strong relationship management and adherence to ethical standards, the individual will position BSN Sports as the trusted long‑term partner for athletic programs at every level.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Provide best‑in‑class consultative customer service to coaches across an assigned territory.
- Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
- Actively develop and qualify leads within the territory to drive additional sales opportunities through cold‑calling and lead generation campaigns.
- Respond to rejection with resilience and persistence.
- Navigate multiple functions within the company’s CRM, including prospecting, account management and activity tracking.
- Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
- Utilize data‑driven business intelligence on prospects to identify new trends and opportunities.
- Manage account list and travel on location within assigned territory.
- High level of self‑direction and autonomy in managing tasks, projects and responsibilities.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interactions with clients and team members.
- Strong time‑management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM.
- Ability to cultivate a distraction‑free home office environment.
- 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience (preferably sporting goods) or coaching/sports‑related background.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance and satisfactory driving record.
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, lifting and driving; hybrid environment; reasonable accommodations available.
