Job DescriptionThe Direct Sales Agent Specialist is responsible for profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales, understanding customer needs, and building rapport and trust. The role focuses on selling Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance products to walk‑in customers, marketing through outbound calls, in‑person visits, and community outreach, and retaining a book of business within the market.
Key Responsibilities- Generate new customers and cross‑sell existing customers.
- Sell Direct Auto Insurance products to walk‑in customers and via marketing calls.
- Build and retain a book of business within the retail location.
- Market products outside of office through community outreach and in‑person visits.
- Leverage community contacts to build multiple referral sources.
- Initiate outbound calling to target customer base.
- Monitor local competitors and propose initiatives to improve market position.
- Plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes with leadership.
- Deliver optimal results in quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and compliance.
- Process customer payments, issue receipts, and reconcile cash drawers.
- 0–2 years of sales experience.
- P&C licensing (Preferred) or ability to attain required licensure within 90 days of joining.
- Successful closure of insurance and ancillary product sales.
- Exceeds sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention.
- Active learning, adaptability, business integrity, customer service, persuasion, sales, social orientation, and time management.
Base hourly rate: $20.00 per hour. Total compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on performance.
