Our Revenue Team is made up of three closely partnered functions. Below is a high-level overview of each role so you can let us know where you see yourself making the biggest impact.
Account ExecutiveAt the forefront of our growth, working exclusively with prospective clients to show how our innovative solutions can change the game, AEs own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing. You’ll build a thriving pipeline through creative outreach, strategic follow-ups, and consultative, problem-solving demos that turn higher ed leaders into long-term partners. Success in this role includes achieving quota, building meaningful relationships, and partnering with Marketing, SDRs, and Client Success to ensure a smooth journey from first conversation to signed contract.
Typical
Experience:
2-5 years of SaaS sales or higher ed tech experience with a proven track record of exceeding quota. Consultative selling, CRM fluency (Hub Spot a plus), and a creative drive to win.
OTE: $160,000 ($80,000 base + $80,000 variable, 50/50 split)
Account ManagerThe driving force behind ensuring clients renew and expand their use of Mongoose. AMs own the renewal process and lead expansion efforts by building strong relationships, conducting Mongoose Quarterly Reviews, and partnering with a Customer Success Manager who drives adoption and value realization. Success looks like increasing client retention and hitting renewal and expansion quotas through strategic account planning and referential selling.
Typical
Experience:
Proven success carrying a renewal and/or expansion quota in a B2B SaaS environment. Relationship-builder with strong consultative communication skills, data-informed decision making, and CRM experience (Hub Spot a plus).
OTE: $150,000 ($80,000 base + $70,000 variable)
Customer Success ManagerCSMs serve as strategic partners to our customers—helping institutions translate communication into measurable outcomes. They lead onboarding and implementation, drive adoption, interpret engagement data, and guide customers in optimizing their communication strategies using Mongoose’s Conversation Intelligence Platform. Working with Account Managers, CSMs identify growth opportunities, mitigate risk, and position Mongoose as a campus-wide solution. Success looks like high adoption, healthy customers, and measurable institutional outcomes.
Typical
Experience:
Customer-first mindset with strong analytical and project management skills. Experience in higher ed or SaaS is a plus; candidates who’ve worked on a college campus (admissions, advising, enrollment management, student affairs, alumni relations, etc.) are valued even without a traditional CSM title.
OTE: $75,000 ($65,000 base + $10,000 variable)
