State Manager – Crop Health Products – Vic & Tas

A dynamic role within a global business that manufactures and supplies a range of crop protection adjuvants and specialty product technologies.

Who will you work for? This is your chance to join a company that has a strong technical sales team working with growers and dealers across Australia. Join an open, honest and grounded team that is innovative and not afraid to take calculated risks.

The role itself? Home office based somewhere in the Melbourne, Bendigo or Ballarat region you will be responsible for sales and marketing of products within Victoria and Tasmania, managing key relationships on behalf of the company and providing technical advice at farm and store level. The product portfolio is relevant across a range of broadacre and horticultural systems; to date, there has been a focus on broadacre cropping applications.

The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders is vital to success in this role.

Key responsibilities
  • Service existing farming and dealer customers to maintain relationships and grow business revenue and profitability
  • Develop and implement an annual seasonal territory sales plan
  • Proactively input and maintain CRM records
  • Support new product development and field-based demonstrations across a diverse product portfolio
  • Represent the company at relevant industry forums and selected field days
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Product Manager and Supply Chain Management) to ensure efficient and effective supply of goods ordered/sold
  • Manage annual negotiations, including trading terms and conditions, to achieve sales objectives within customer groups not under national agreements
  • Forge working relationships with distribution, private agronomists, researchers, grower groups and farmers to increase adoption of SE14 sales
What kind of person will be suitable?

The perfect candidate will have agronomy qualifications and previous commercial agronomy experience. They have a proven ability to establish, maintain and develop relationships with agronomists and farmers alike by providing quality information and solutions. This role suits someone who is passionate about agronomy, improving farming systems and driven to exceed expectations of the industry.

How will you be rewarded?

You will be rewarded for your contributions to the business with an attractive salary (proportionate to your experience and skill set), quarterly and annual incentive program, 11.5% superannuation, professional development program, tools of trade and full use of a company vehicle.
