About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, results‑driven Senior Business Development Executive (US Field) to lead profitable growth initiatives across the Public Sector through strategic reseller partnerships. This role sits within the Vendor Management organization and reports directly to the Vice President.
This is a highly visible, field‑based position requiring approximately 50% travel, with direct engagement across resellers, customers, and vendor partners.
The role requires building and maintaining senior‑level customer and reseller relationships, identifying and capturing organic growth opportunities, and delivering value‑added solutions aligned to Public Sector needs. The Senior Business Development Executive serves as a subject matter expert on HP's portfolio and technologies, staying ahead of market trends and competitive dynamics.
The Senior Business Development Executive represents the organization at industry events, reseller forums, and vendor‑sponsored engagements, and drives demand through seminars, training programs, and enablement initiatives. Ongoing analysis and reporting are required to communicate program performance, business impact, and forward‑looking growth strategies in partnership with Account Management.
Overall, this role requires a strategic, proactive, and highly motivated leader with the ability to identify opportunities, influence outcomes, and deliver long‑term, profitable growth within Public Sector.
What You'll Do- Execute strategic customer growth plans and business relationships in assigned account(s) by providing value‑added solutions.
- Deliver sales results by organically growing business within assigned large focus customers and successfully closing large multi‑year sales proposals.
- Execute against vendor initiatives and serve as a subject matter expert on assigned vendor's brand, technology solutions, and program offerings.
- Maintain and drive trending knowledge of products, competitors, technology, and customers in the assigned supplier product market.
- Attend events as a representative of both the company and the vendor, including industry events, reseller‑sponsored events, distribution events, and vendor‑sponsored reseller events.
- Create reports and presentations and deliver group and management presentations at customer sites.
- Speak to customers on TD SYNNEX's high‑growth value propositions, including Cloud, Data, IoT, etc.
- Identify and create opportunity demand for products, coordinating seminars, training, and resource awareness for assigned customers to drive growth.
- Perform analysis and reporting of program impact for identified customers, communicating success, issues, and future growth plan strategies to the Account Manager.
- Maintain mastery knowledge of assigned vendor's products/services as well as those of the entire organization, and move fluidly among products/services to sell effectively into the territory.
- Work on the largest or most important accounts with the highest degree of complexity and variability.
- Coach and develop more junior team members.
- 8+ years of sales experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Thorough knowledge of solutions and assigned products.
- Ability to deliver strategic vendor solutions and identify new partners.
- Established relationships with key vendor contacts.
- Proficiency in communication, negotiation, and collaboration.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead and innovate.
- Ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
- Comfort with technology and basic office tasks.
- Willingness to travel and occasionally work non‑standard hours.
