OverviewAs a Field Sales Executive, you will drive profitable sales growth within an established account base of CPA firms, reporting to the Divisional Manager, Field Sales.
Responsibilities- Learn the full line of Tax & Accounting products, including features, benefits, pricing, intended use, value proposition, and competitive positioning.
- Complete all required training and self‑study activities within the prescribed timeline.
- Implement the prescribed sales process, meeting quotas and driving revenue growth.
- Manage assigned account list, maintain a healthy sales pipeline by reviewing target lists, segmenting customers, researching decision makers, and building daily and weekly calling lists.
- Use Salesforce CRM to log activities, following timing and content standards.
- Prospect new accounts and conduct introductory calls to schedule in‑person or virtual meetings.
- Participate in industry meetings, trade shows, and sales meetings, and deliver group presentations to generate interest.
- Grow existing customer business to meet goals by staying informed of client needs and communicating value.
- Identify product gaps, work with Product Managers to define specifications, and manage client expectations for enhancements.
- Identify opportunities in target accounts to improve market share and engage executive‑level contacts.
- Plan and schedule all sales activity, grouping tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with colleagues on selling strategies and marketing information.
- Work with other sales personnel and Division Sales Manager to address account/channel conflicts.
- Develop an Annual Business Plan with pipeline predictions, quarterly forecasts, and weekly reports.
- Participate in weekly communication with the Divisional Sales Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, or related field; OR 6+ years of software/SaaS field sales experience if no degree.
- 5+ years of B2B sales experience, including on‑premise/cloud software or SaaS business application.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and sales goals.
- Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce or Sales Logix.
- Experience developing prospect lists, qualifying leads, and converting networking contacts into business opportunities.
- Ability to present products in‑person to prospective clients and demonstrate relevance to their needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Consultative sales approach and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Experience working in a matrixed organization with multiple sales channels.
- Strong facilitation and collaboration skills.
- Formalized sales training such as Challenger Sales or Miller Heiman.
- Flexibility in schedule, including up to 30% travel annually for client visits and industry events.
$71,300.00 - $ USD base, eligible for commission. Salary range based on location; final offer influenced by skills, experience and location.
