About the Role

As an Account Executive in Workday’s Field Sales organization, you will drive net new revenue by guiding new customers on a journey that moves them from legacy platforms to our enterprise cloud. You will partner with customers to craft relevant solutions that deliver lasting value, ensuring customer satisfaction from day one and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategy for prioritizing, targeting, and closing key opportunities in an assigned territory.
  • Perform account planning for assigned accounts, coordinating with pre‑sales and other resources to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Initiate and support the sales of Workday solutions within Medium Enterprise prospects and articulate Workday’s value propositions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer, prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data.
Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience selling SaaS/Cloud‑based ERP/HCM/Financial/Planning or Analytics solutions to C‑levels from a field sales position.
  • 4+ years of experience negotiating deals with a variety of C‑Suite Executives to close opportunities.
  • 4+ years of experience engaging in a programmatic approach to generate and develop leads within your territory.
Other Qualifications
  • Proven track record in a high‑velocity sales cycle, including prospecting for a portion of opportunities.
  • Understanding of the strategic competitive landscape of the industry, staying up to date with trends and customer needs to effectively position Workday solutions within accounts.
  • Experience leveraging and partnering with internal team members on account strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible Work Arrangements

We combine in‑person time and remote work. You are expected to spend at least half of your time each quarter in the office or in the field with customers, prospects, or partners, giving you the flexibility to create a schedule that fits your needs.

Compensation

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. The role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan, commission, and annual refresh stock grants. Base pay range: $137,400 USD–$167,600 USD in the primary location.
