Director, Business Development, US East

Job Summary

The Director, Business Development will be responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of tailored sales strategies to leverage Crown Bioscience’s business opportunities in translational science, specifically oncology. This fully remote position is for candidates based on the East Coast.

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans (short-term and long-term) to achieve corporate goals in the assigned market.
• Identify and analyze business opportunities and formulate plans to capture them, handling related problems.
• Contact prospective customer and partner companies to explore business opportunities and manage negotiations.
• Develop and maintain key business relationships across a broad sphere of influence, both internally and externally.
• Manage daily logistics related to orders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology or a related life science field.
• At least 4-5 years of drug discovery experience selling to biotech.
• Relevant business development experience in biotech or CRO settings.
• Masterful selling skills that build strong, trusting customer relationships.
• Masterful negotiation experience with a preferred background in related knowledge.
• Flexibility to travel up to 40% after the pandemic when needed.

• Strong background in oncology and in vivo pharmacology.
