Account Executive - Online Division

Grand Canyon Education is a rapidly growing educational service company focused on providing support services to post‑secondary institutions. We are hiring an Account Executive to manage the Des Moines, IA territory and build community‑college partnerships.

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for strategy, partnership development, and student counseling to help Grand Canyon University students succeed online. The role is community‑based, travel‑heavy, and includes a strong emphasis on outreach and student support.

• Design and execute event and activity plans to build awareness of our online academic programs for education, healthcare, and business.
• Drive inquiry generation and partner with institutions to create high‑impact collaborations.
• Deliver informational presentations, calls, and emails to prospective students, families, and partners.
• Provide exceptional counseling to non‑traditional students, guiding them through the admissions process and online learning experience.
• Work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and adapt strategies to maximize student value.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of experience in outside business development, consultative sales, or account management.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.
• Flexible schedule with availability for evenings and weekends.
• Strong time‑management and prioritization skills, including the ability to travel within the territory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with deep listening ability.
• Self‑motivated, high emotional intelligence, and a passion for coaching diverse students.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM tools is a bonus.
• Credit review must show no delinquency or default on federal student loans; any rehabilitation program must be current.

• Starting salary of $75,000 per year with potential for six‑figure earnings after five successful years.
