RoleAs a member of our high‑energy, collaborative and competitive sales team, you will play a critical role in developing customer acquisition and retention strategies while simultaneously identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience. Your daily activities will involve making outbound sales calls to potential travelers who have expressed interest in group travel through our website and marketing efforts, and maintaining relationships with our past loyal travelers as they book their next Go Ahead Tour.
Our Sales Development Program is designed for those launching a new career in sales or looking to build upon existing skills. The program offers training in sales, product, marketing, industry trends, consultative selling techniques, presentations, public speaking, and dedicated mentorship.
Responsibilities- Independently manage your book of business while simultaneously bringing in new business
- Maintain and practice high outreach, follow‑up phone conversations
- Average 100+ calls and 3 hours of phone time per day
- Utilize consultative selling techniques to prospect and initiate product interest
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales goals
- Develop an integrated sales strategy to accomplish your goals
- Weekend work: 1-2 shifts/month – take a weekday off when you work a weekend day
- Late shift work: 1-2 shifts/month – late shifts will be from 11:30 am to 8 pm MT
- Strong verbal communication and influencing skills – must be able to connect with a diverse range of individuals via telephone
- Natural sales instincts: recognize and capitalize on buying signals that customers display
- Driven and competitive mindset that motivates you to hit goals
- Demonstrates personal accountability, self‑awareness, and a student mentality
- Adept in problem‑solving skills
- Ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize work while collaborating with a team
- Flexible; able to pivot quickly and multitask in a fast‑paced environment
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience or a 4‑year degree

First‑year Tour Consultants have an on‑target earning potential of $60,000 (base salary starting at $50,000 and $10,000 bonus potential). There is an uncapped bonus for exceeding sales goals. OTE increases to $72,000 after 12 months. Promotion to Senior Tour Consultant after 2 years of exceeding goals and excellent performance, with OTE of $95,000 ($65,000 base and $30,000 bonus potential). Full compensation plan details and future earning potential will be reviewed during the interview process.
