Position Overview
Associate Portfolio Executive – Kansas City, MO. Build and manage a customer portfolio while developing long‑term, trusted relationships. Leverage AI‑powered tools to simplify quoting, planning, and scheduling, allowing focus on selling, problem‑solving, and growing revenue. Responsibilities- Build and grow a portfolio of customers, strengthening relationships and converting opportunities into active business.
- Re‑engage dormant accounts and expand within existing customers to increase volume, revenue, and wallet share.
- Own day‑to‑day customer interactions, responding quickly to questions, managing exceptions and escalations, and resolving conflict professionally.
- Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal partners to meet customer commitments and service expectations.
- Quote and price freight, applying negotiation skills, market insight, and customer buying patterns to execute pricing strategy.
- Plan, build, and execute shipments (with AI agent support) aligned to customer expectations.
- Identify account growth potential and cultivate transactional relationships into more committed partnerships supported by business development resources.
- Use data, reporting, and market/customer updates to uncover service and growth opportunities and inform daily priorities.
- Improve work processes by adopting new tools/technology, identifying automation opportunities, and documenting SOPs.
- Operate with urgency and a team‑first mindset by supporting teammates’ customers when needed and contributing in daily/weekly stand‑ups.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months Customer Engagement Experience, internal or external.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving.
- Demonstrated negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

CompensationCompensation Range: $19.23 – $38.47 per hour. The base pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this location. Your individual base pay will be determined by job‑related skills, experience, and education or training. Compensation details listed reflect base pay only and do not include variable compensation.
