Karv Group is a India and Australia based investment and startup accelerator that partners with high growth companies in clean infrastructure, including EV charging for buses, trucks and commercial fleets across Australia and India. We bring a commercial engine, sales and marketing capability, and capital access to help our partners scale fleet and depot charging solutions.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Development Manager Sales (EV Charging) to drive new business for Karv Groups EV charging portfolio in Australia and India, with a strong focus on fleet depots, logistics, bus operators, government/council projects and large commercial customers. This is a client facing, target driven role that combines solution sales, tender participation and digital/social selling (especially Linked In) in a remote, workfromhome setup.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify and close B2B opportunities for EV charging solutions with fleets, logistics companies, bus operators, OEMs, developers and government agencies in India and Australia.
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, first meetings, solution pitch (with technical partners), proposal, negotiation and deal closure.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline using CRM and regular reporting of leads, proposals, and closures.
  • Monitor and apply for relevant public and private tenders/RFPs related to EV charging and fleet electrification (state transport, municipal corporations, PSUs, smart city projects, etc.).
  • Coordinate with internal and partner teams to prepare tender responses, technical and commercial documentation, and compliance paperwork.
  • Use Linked In and other social media to generate leads, nurture relationships, and position Karv Group and its portfolio companies as thought leaders in the EV charging space (posts, outreach, groups, events).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners: EPCs, real estate developers, consultants, OEMs, and system integrators.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, policy changes and incentives in the EV ecosystem, and feed insights into the growth strategy.
  • Represent Karv Group at online events, webinars and inperson industry conferences as required.
Requirements
  • 37 years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in EV charging, renewable energy, electrical/electronics, SaaS for mobility, or infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience selling to enterprise/industrial or government customers (transport departments, logistics, OEMs, utilities, PSUs, large corporates).
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Handson experience with tenders/RFPs (prebid, bid preparation, submission, and followup) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong comfort with using Linked In and other digital channels for lead generation, networking and personal branding.
  • Ability to understand technical concepts in EV charging (power ratings, DC fast charging, depot charging, load management) and translate them into clear customer value.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills in English;
    Hindi or regional languages are a plus.
  • Selfstarter mindset, comfortable working independently in a remote environment and coordinating with global teams across time zones.
Work Setup and Location
  • Work model: Remote / Work From Home (WFH) within India.
  • Travel as required for client meetings, site visits, events and tender presentations (expenses covered as per policy).
  • Reporting to:
    Head of Business Development / Partner (Karv Group).
