Position Summary
The Medical Device Account Manager – Filtration & Venting is an experienced sales role focused on growing existing customer relationships and prospecting new accounts in the medical device market. The position is based in our Bloomington, MN office and requires an on‑site schedule.
Responsibilities- Act as primary contact for assigned accounts, traveling to customer locations to create and solidify relationships and determine specific customer needs.
- Plan and manage all sales responsibilities to optimize sales and profits consistent with business objectives.
- Establish annual strategic plan for major target accounts aligned with the overall business unit strategy.
- Seek opportunities to promote new technical concepts, applications, and products/services.
- Sell new products and technologies, utilizing customized solutions and manage project changes through internal organization.
- Formulate and implement long/short‑range sales, marketing, product, promotion and pricing strategies for assigned customers.
- Initiate, participate in, and direct presentations, negotiations, business proposals, product demonstrations and related communications to drive sales.
- Develop and utilize technical understanding of company products to aid in the selling process and project management.
- Maintain market share information and competitive data for assigned customers.
- Travel up to 20% of the time.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 5+ years of technical sales experience, preferably in medical or medical device.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mechanical/technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to use accounting concepts to assess financial implications.
- Successful prospecting or lead generation experience.
- Consistent achievement of sales goals and forecasts.
- Strategic planning and tactical implementation skills.
- Previous CRM experience (MS Dynamics ideally).
- Strong public relations and presentation skills.
Annual Salary Range: $93,800 – $122,000 (based on experience, education, performance). Eligible for sales incentive or commission plan.
