Our client is a highly successful wine/spirits portfolio company – privately held. Very stable with family ownership and one of the best National Sales Managers in the business that I’ve known and worked with for 15+ years!

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5+ years’ experience in the wine and spirits industry
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, including strong presentation skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision; “self-starter”
  • Willing to be very “hands‑on” to get the job accomplished
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite including Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel within the assigned territory 4.5 to 5 days per week are required
  • If a personal car is used for business purposes, proof of car insurance will be required
  • Business‑related travel expenses are reimbursed in accordance with company policy

Responsibilities
  • The Market Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering volume, distribution, and merchandising performance across the assigned market covering all channels of business, both on and off‑premise
  • The ideal candidate will be based in the Columbus, OH metro area
  • Manage brand portfolio within the state of Ohio
  • Build relationships with and manage on‑premise and off‑premise accounts as well as distributor relationships
  • Plan & implement sales programming in all markets
  • Ensure POS and other marketing assets are utilized in the field with correct programs
  • Merchandising and building displays
  • Implement creative programs to activate the consumer, including product sampling and demos
  • Spend time each month surveying the market to ensure that distribution, pricing, POS, displays, programs, menus, and ads are executed to standard
  • Travel within territory to actively engage accounts
