Job SummaryThe ENT Area Sales Manager is responsible for selling Medtronic Surgical Technologies ENT products to hospitals, physicians, and other approved customers within the geographical limits of their territory, achieving established quotas and sales objectives.
Responsibilities- Conduct face‑to‑face sales calls with physicians, nurses, and other key purchase influencers in the territory to demonstrate, service, and sell Medtronic Surgical Technologies capital and disposable products.
- Execute Sales Action Plans, including use of own vehicle and transportation of inventory.
- Plan, strategize, and execute sales calls to hospital departments, outpatient surgery centers, and doctors’ offices.
- Attend meetings and courses inside and outside the territory.
- Provide support and service to clinical personnel related to products in a surgical environment.
- Maintain company property and inventory in good condition.
- Report competitive activity within the territory and maintain records and reports as requested.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Comply with the Medtronic Surgical Technologies Quality System.
Must Have:
Minimum Requirement
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 8+ years of experience*
- Associate’s Degree AND 6+ years of experience*
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years of experience*
* Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
Nice to Have
- Successful medical sales record, preferably with ENT products.
- Knowledge of ENT customers and product portfolio.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Preference given to local qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experience.
Job Requirements
- Regularly independent mobility required.
- Computer use, communication with peers, and frequent talking or hearing required.
- Frequently sit, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Handle and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Must adjust vision focus as needed.
- Approximately 50% overnight travel required; air travel may be required.
- Transport demonstration equipment; 30% of the position involves physical handling.
- Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance; driving record will be reviewed. Approximately 75% of time driving within assigned territory.
