Outside Sales Advisor

Job Responsibilities

• Convert company-provided leads into sales.
• Maintain a network of customers from company-provided leads.
• Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
• Communicate with customers and leads to understand their needs and suggest suitable products and services.
• Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any post‑sale issues.
• Use Sales Force or an applicable CRM system daily.
• Attend daily/weekly/monthly calls, training, call blocks, and floor time at the office or home.
• Report daily, weekly, and monthly sales and appointments to the Sales Manager.
• Comply with industry compliance throughout the sales process.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Appropriate Funeral Director License in specific states only.
• Complete PAA Curriculum Certification from Dignity University within the first 30 days of employment.

• 2–5 years of business‑to‑consumer, inside home/remote sales experience (preferred but not required).
• 1–2 years of industry experience (preferred but not required).
• 3–5 years of transferable experience.

• Exceptional level of professionalism.
• Strong telephone, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• High level of compassion and integrity.
• Strong “one‑call/visit close” ability.
• Ability to multi‑task, set priorities, and manage appointments.
• Experience with in‑home and/or seminar‑based sales preferred.
• Proficient computer skills required; experience with tablets preferred.
• Independent, self‑reliant, and self‑motivated.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Conveys information clearly and concisely in written and spoken communication.
• Resolves problems and provides timely solutions to customers.
• Time‑management and organizational skills.
• Entry‑level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Reliable transportation.
• Own a cellphone.

• Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions.
• Limited local and/or multi‑location travel.
• Travel to customers’ homes and local businesses.
• Business casual attire required when in contact with customers.

• Frequent, continuous standing periods.
• Sitting continuously for many hours per day.
• May require climbing stairs frequently.

• Manual dexterity required for paperwork, calculators, computers, iPads, and phone usage.
• Move, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
• Drive to and from appointments.

• Outside sales position may require varied work hours depending on customer needs.
• Travel locally with distance varying depending on the market.
