Account Manager, Pacific Region

A Day in the Life of an Account Manager at Esri Canada:

• Develop and execute account plans for an assigned portfolio of customer accounts to achieve individual sales quota and revenue objectives.
• Independently manage customer relationships, building a solid understanding of customer business priorities, decision‑making structures, and needs.
• Proactively generate new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting, social selling, networking, and targeted account outreach to build and advance a qualified sales pipeline.
• Exercise judgment and discretion in responding to complex customer requirements and sales situations within an established framework of accountability.
• Act as the primary sales point of contact for assigned accounts, coordinating internal resources to support customer objectives.
• Lead responses to RFPs, proposals, and customer requests, coordinating contributions from Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and other internal teams as required.
• Communicate solution value clearly and effectively, tailoring messaging to customer audiences and decision‑makers.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and account information in Salesforce to support sales planning and performance management.

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma in GIS, Geography, Business, or a related field.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, account management, or a customer‑facing role involving solution‑based selling.
• Demonstrated experience managing customer accounts and closing sales opportunities.
• Experience selling technology, software, or GIS‑related solutions is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage customer relationships and sales outcomes.
• Proven experience translating customer business needs into solution‑based recommendations.
• Demonstrated communication and presentation skills across a range of customer audiences.
• Proven negotiation skills and ability to influence customer decision‑making.
• Demonstrated organizational, forecasting, and time‑management skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Customer Success, and Professional Services teams.
• Demonstrated ability to use Salesforce or similar CRM tools effectively to manage pipeline, forecasting, and account activity.
• Bilingual proficiency (English / French) is considered an asset.
• Experience in Land Management, Permitting, Asset Management Systems, Public Safety and / or Government Transportation
• Fluency in English is essential, as this role requires regular client communication and support in English-speaking regions
