Position: Remote Business Development Representative - Eastern GTA (Woodstock)

Summary

Business Development Representative at AGAT Laboratories in Mississauga, focusing on Environmental Testing services for the Eastern GTA Region.

Location & Remote

Remote; requires only a few days per month in our Mississauga location.

Responsibilities
  • Solicit new business opportunities for AGAT Laboratories and identify sales opportunities to improve the company’s market position.
  • Maintain strong relationships with current customers.
  • Implement account and/or category specific sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage business relationships with assigned accounts and generate new business in alignment with objectives and values.
  • Understand and promote the customer‑centric approach of AGAT Laboratories to develop long‑lasting relationships.
  • Support annual business and territory plans to achieve budgeted sales objectives.
  • Prepare category and business reviews and leverage insights to identify sales opportunities and improve category position.
  • Attend industry workshops, professional associations, and trade shows.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Post‑secondary education in science (chemistry, geology, engineering) or business; preference for Environmental or Geological Engineering, Marketing, or Business.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in outside sales, with B2B experience an asset.
  • Professional, positive, and outgoing demeanor with excellent relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; fluency in French is an asset.
  • Ability to deliver clear and concise sales presentations.
  • Strong analytical, planning, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office computer technology, including Microsoft Office; experience with Hub Spot or LIMS systems is an asset.
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Unquestionable work ethic and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Travel throughout the East GTA and occasional out‑of‑province travel required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Candidate must supply and use a personal reliable vehicle for business use; mileage will be compensated.
