AboutThe Role
As an Account Executive in the Field Sales Operations organization, you will focus on net‑new revenue and partner with customers to transition from legacy platforms to Workday’s enterprise management cloud.
In This Role, You Will:- Develop strategy for prioritizing, targeting, and closing key opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Perform account planning for assigned accounts and coordinate with pre‑sales and other resources for strategic alignment.
- Initiate and support sales of Workday solutions within large enterprise prospects.
- Build relationships with new customers, focusing on deal management and connecting them with Workday solutions, especially core financials.
- Negotiate deals with C‑suite executives to close opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely customer/prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data.
- 5+ years of experience selling SaaS/Cloud‑based ERP/HCM/Financial/Planning/Analytics solutions to C‑level executives from a field sales position.
- 5+ years of experience collaborating with internal teams (pre‑sales, value, inside sales) to achieve quota and manage multiple deals concurrently.
- 5+ years of experience managing longer deal cycles, including prospecting for a portion of opportunities.
- Proven experience understanding the strategic competitive landscape and staying current with industry trends and customer needs.
- Ability to quickly establish trust with key stakeholders.
- Prior experience partnering with internal team members on account strategies for short‑term and long‑term prospecting and territory management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Primary
Location:
USA – IL – Chicago.
Base Pay Range: $134,200 – $201,300 USD (annualized).
Compensation may also include the Workday Bonus Plan, role‑specific commission/bonus, and annual refresh stock grants. The Workday pay ranges vary by work location. Recruiters will provide additional details during the hiring process.
Our Approach to Flexible WorkWorkday combines in‑person and remote work. Teams spend at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field. Remote “home office” roles may also meet in the office for key events.
