Outside Sales Representative

Role Description

The Outside Sales Representative is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cincinnati, OH, with a mix of in‑person customer visits, showroom time, and some work from home. The role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of contractor, builder, and remodeler accounts by conducting on‑site sales calls, presenting product solutions and following up on opportunities. Day‑to‑day activities include prospecting for new business, preparing and delivering sales presentations, providing product recommendations, and coordinating with internal teams on pricing, quotes and order fulfillment.

The representative will regularly visit job sites and customer locations to assess project needs, resolve issues and ensure a high level of service. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in a CRM system, tracking sales activity and staying current on product knowledge and industry trends.

• Strong sales skills, including sales presentations and new business development, with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
• Proven relationship building and customer service skills to support long‑term client partnerships and repeat business.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with customers, internal teams and vendors.
• Experience in outside sales, preferably in building materials, construction or a related industry.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to manage time between field visits, showroom presence and remote work.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel regularly within the tri‑state area.
• Ability to read basic construction plans and understand building materials and product applications (or willingness to learn quickly).
• Proficiency with CRM systems and basic office software (e.g. email, spreadsheets, presentations).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education desired.
