Senior Regional Consultant Responsibilities
- Conduct sales meetings with financial intermediaries to promote MFS sales and services to maximize territorial and divisional sales.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and ensure these align with MFS company goals, our purpose, and priorities.
- Demonstrate expertise in sales.
- Work in partnership with Sales, Client Service, Product, Compliance, and Marketing.
- Serve as single point of contact and subject matter expert to MFS clients.
- Manage and respond to client needs in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement relationship strategies with clients.
- Collaborate with all areas of the MFS Sales team—including Sales Desk, Client Service, Product, and Marketing—to develop, deliver, and monitor the wholesaler business plan to achieve divisional and company goals.
- Provide top-quality service to accounts to ensure growth and retention of assets and clients.
- Build sales by identifying and prospecting new producers.
- Identify and develop new relationships with territorial dealers.
- Engage with regional top‑tier firms and identify opportunities within the region following strategy developed by Sales leadership.
- Work within MFS/MIL (MFS International Limited) sales and marketing teams to understand the link between regional institutions and their global networks outside of their home market.
- Manage sales efforts with home office sales representatives to execute territorial business plans with MFS field partners.
- Ensure all data on clients in the region/territory is recorded and correct; maintain and update appropriate CRM systems and store documentation in C360 so it is accessible to all.
- Adhere to timely submission of expense reports.
- Represent MFS at appropriate forums, such as meetings with clients, shareholders and the general investment public.
- Attend conferences or regulatory events as needed and communicate information to wholesalers and home‑office personnel.
- Build strong sales skills and keep abreast of industry trends through interaction with the corporate team, training, continuing education requirements, and sales meetings.
- Continuously stay up to date on local regulatory frameworks and changes as well as country‑specific items that impact the territory/region.
- Ensure compliance with all internal MFS regulations and external regulatory requirements, policies and procedures, including distribution of approved literature to financial intermediaries.
- Assume additional duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 8‑12+ years of related experience required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, selling, and presentation skills.
- In‑depth product and industry knowledge.
- Ability to meet extensive travel requirements.
- Ability to balance personal territory production with management responsibilities.
- Proficiency in local language preferred.
- Position requires FINRA licensing in accordance with MFS’s policy: SIE, Series 63 and Series 7.
- Base Salary: $95,000.00
- Eligible for competitive commission pay.
- MFS contributes an amount equal to 15% of your base salary to your retirement account separate from the company‑sponsored 401(k).
