Position: Sr. Employee Benefits Consultant - Voluntary Benefits

JOB SUMMARY

Our Voluntary Benefits Division is hiring a Sr. Employee Benefits Consultant to recruit, train, educate, motivate, and maintain National and Regional Broker Partners to sell, service, and conserve business in order to ensure profitable growth and meet sales objectives in the mid-Atlantic territory (DC, MD, VA).

  • Recruit new producers, achieve premium growth objectives, and serve and conserve insurance in force.
  • Make qualified calls on group accounts with producers and provide enrollment support on newly opened accounts.
  • Collaborate with Sales Support, Underwriting, Policyholder Services, Billing, Compliance, Commission Accounting, and Home Office personnel to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Meet or exceed assigned production plan and develop producers throughout the assigned area.
  • Analyze markets, formulate recruiting programs, and secure producers who produce quality premiums.
  • Help bring value to existing book of business, develop new opportunities, and provide feedback on marketplace changes.
  • Implement and support corporate strategy, including cross‑selling partner products.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
  • Prior experience in voluntary and/or employee benefits required.
  • Established broker network within the defined territory.
  • Ability to travel as needed throughout the defined territory.
  • Life & Health licenses required; if not currently licensed, licensing must be obtained upon hire.
  • 10+ years of voluntary and/or employee benefits sales experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
