Fertility Depreciation, Inc. (FDI) is seeking 1-3 motivated and self-driven Marketing & Sales Interns to help expand our distribution network throughout the agricultural and land exchange industries. The internship is principally focused on needle-moving activities like outbound prospecting, servicing inbound leads, lead generation, relationship building, market research & due diligence, and educating potential clients and referral partners about our services. Given the public-facing nature of the role, FDI requires a high degree of attention and customer service delivered to all customers.

FDI provides a base hourly and commission according to the production (by number, deal size, and consistency) of the intern.

The ideal candidate is comfortable making a high volume of calls, enjoys building relationships, works independently, and is eager to learn. Agricultural background is highly preferred, and multilingual candidates (particularly Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese speakers, in that order) are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform market research to identify and generate new leads and accounts.
  • Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective clients and referral partners (approximately 85% outbound, 15% inbound).
  • Generate and qualify new leads through phone outreach, networking, marketing initiatives, and referrals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with farmers, landowners, CPAs, real estate professionals, attorneys, lenders, investors, institutions, and other industry contacts.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and outreach efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of communications and opportunities within native CRM systems.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up activities: “Persistence is a virtue!”
  • Represent the company professionally in person, over the phone, and through written communications.
  • Travel in car or plane (both reimbursed), as needed, for meetings, conferences, trade shows, and client visits.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of company services and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with management to improve sales processes, our service, and marketing strategies.

  • Comfortable making multiple outbound calls daily.

  • Slack;
  • Hub Spot or similar CRM platforms;
  • Tools to conduct background research and due diligence on prospects.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Reliable telephone and high-speed internet connection.
