Program Overview
The Sales Leadership Development Program is an entry‑level multi‑year introduction into the key functions in Sales at SC Johnson. The Associate will rotate through multiple roles to build a robust sales skill set and will play an integral role in the success of assigned account teams and retailers by transforming data into actionable insights that directly impact the SCJ business.
Key ResponsibilitiesBased on the rotation, employees will focus on Sales Analysis and Category & Shopper Leadership roles. Duties in each include:
Sales Analysis- Provide cumulative reporting across the entire division to offer a holistic perspective of key opportunities for the sales organization throughout the planning period and the year.
- Analyze point of sale, channel facts, consumer facts, and related consumer research to improve base and promotional business.
- Forecast sales shipments based on point‑of‑sale trends, weather, historical shipments, and other considerations.
- Pull, analyze, and prepare data from multiple sources, including Nielsen, Market Basket, customer point of sale, and downstream data.
- Prepare customer information to add value to the sales call.
- Provide retailer‑specific solutions and recommendations based on key learnings and insights derived from analyses and research from a broad range of data sources.
- Mine and analyze data from sources such as syndicated scan and panel data, retailer point‑of‑sale data, and space‑planning software.
- Provide category analyses, insights and recommendations for assortment, retail pricing, and trade promotions.
- Utilize category and aisle expertise to provide shelf merchandising and item placement recommendations.
- Develop plan‑ograms using space‑management software.
- Prior internship experience in Sales, Marketing, or Business.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or related field with a graduation date of Spring 2027.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full‑time employment.
- CPG (Consumer Product Goods) experience preferred.
- Interest in a long‑term career path in sales with willingness to relocate for future assignments after the Sales Leadership Development Program is completed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
- Knowledge or prior experience with sales planning tools.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to develop internal and external relationships.
- Proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering results in a fast‑paced work environment by fostering a sense of ownership and curiosity.
- Full‑time position.
- Remote work is available once a week for eligible employees.
- The individual assuming this position will need to relocate to complete this program.
- This role is eligible for domestic relocation.
