Job Overview
Pre‑Arrangement Advisors are responsible for generating sales through company‑provided leads from multiple channels, primarily through in‑person meetings with families and pre‑planning seminars. Remote sales are also permitted when necessary, with the company providing the required telecommunication platforms.
Responsibilities- Convert company‑provided leads into sales.
- Maintain a network of customers generated from company leads.
- Build and maintain a network of sources for new sales leads.
- Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their needs; recommend products and services accordingly.
- Demonstrate the functions and benefits of products or services to customers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve post‑sale issues.
- Use Sales Force or an applicable CRM system on a daily basis.
- Attend daily, weekly, and monthly calls, training, call blocks, and floor time in the office or at home.
- Report daily, weekly, and monthly sales and appointments to the Sales Manager.
- Comply with industry compliance throughout the sales process.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Appropriate Funeral Director License in specific states (only).
- First 30 days of employment: complete PAA Curriculum Certification at Dignity University.
- 2–5 years of Business‑to‑Consumer, inside home/remote sales experience (preferred).
- 1–2 years of industry experience (preferred).
- 3–5 years of transferable experience.
- Exceptional level of professionalism.
- Strong telephone, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- High compassion, integrity, and strong “one‑call/visit close” ability.
- Ability to multitask, set priorities, and manage appointments.
- Experience with in‑home and/or seminar‑based sales preferred.
- Proficient computer skills; tablet experience preferred.
- Independent, self‑reliant, and self‑motivated.
- Excellent customer service skills; clear and concise written and spoken communication.
- Problem‑solving skills and timely resolution of customer issues.
- Time‑management and organizational skills.
- Entry‑level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Reliable transportation and own a cellphone.
Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions; limited local or multi‑location travel; may involve traveling to customers’ homes and local businesses.
Posture & Physical DemandsFrequent, continuous standing; long periods of sitting; may require climbing stairs; manual dexterity for paperwork and device use; move, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.; driving to and from appointments.
HoursOutside sales position with varied hours depending on customer needs; local travel may vary by market.
