General Description:
The Leisure Sales Manager is responsible for generating leisure room revenue and increasing resort occupancy through the development and management of strategic relationships with golf-focused travel agencies, tour operators, wholesalers, destination management companies, and other leisure travel partners. The position will focus on identifying new business opportunities, expanding market share, and positioning the resort as a premier golf and leisure destination within Canada, the United States, and key international markets.
The successful candidate will be a proactive sales professional with strong industry relationships, a passion for luxury hospitality and golf tourism, and a proven ability to develop profitable partnerships that drive year-round business.
Qualifications & Requirements- 10 years of sales experience 5 in Golf and 5 in Leisure preferred
- Avid golfer with extensive knowledge of Canada top golf courses
- Very good understanding of golf
- Proven sales experience (travel, hospitality and golf)
- Experience with Resort Suites an asset
- Minimum of one-year Guest Service experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be highly organized, results oriented with the ability to be flexible, work well under pressure and must have exceptional guest service skills.
- May be required to work outside regular work hours
- Develop and implement sales strategies to attract leisure travelers, including golf groups, couples, and individual vacationers
- Collaborate with travel agents, tour operators, and online travel platforms to promote hotel packages
- Create appealing vacation packages that highlight the property’s unique amenities such as spa services, restaurants, recreational activities, and local attractions
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and ensure competitive positioning
- Attend travel trade shows and industry events to promote the property and build a strong network.
- Knowledge of travel booking platforms and online marketing techniques
- Strong analytical skills to track sales performance and market trends
- Strong communication and closing skills
- This is a work-from-home position requiring a structured, professional work environment and the ability to work independently while delivering consistent, measurable results.
- Develop and execute annual leisure sales strategies focused on golf travel, luxury leisure, and resort vacation markets.
- Generate new business through golf tour operators, travel agencies, wholesalers, online travel partners, and specialty travel organizations.
- Identify and secure new partnerships that increase resort awareness and bookings.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key golf travel agencies and wholesalers in Canada, the United States, and selected international markets.
- Develop customized packages and promotional opportunities with travel partners to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and partnership agreements in accordance with resort revenue objectives.
- Conduct regular sales calls, virtual presentations, and in-person meetings with prospective and existing accounts.
- Represent the resort at trade shows, golf travel events, industry conferences, and sales missions.
- Position the resort as a leading golf destination within North America.
- Build relationships with golf travel specialists, golf associations, golf media partners, and golf tourism organizations.
- Develop strategic initiatives that increase golf rounds, stay‑and‑play packages, and golf group business.
- Collaborate with the Golf Operations team to create compelling golf experiences and promotional programs.
