Job Description
The Territory Manager will support BD’s UCC Home Care products with physicians, clinicians, rehabilitation & specialty accounts, and other key decision makers. The position involves closely working with nursing leaders, physicians, case managers, and patients as they transition from hospital to home. The primary responsibility is to convert urological accounts to Bard products/LINK Rx form and route through our internal 3rd party biller (LMS) within the assigned geographic territory.
The role requires extensive travel to provide in‑servicing, sampling, and documentation collection in the territory, drive sales revenue to meet territory targets, and contribute to overall district and home‑care success. The Territory Manager must conduct business with integrity and in accordance with BD’s Code of Ethics and applicable policies.
- Meet established quotas and expectations.
- Maintain regular contact with key customers within the territory, including communication and support of company policies and product training programs.
- Manage territory resources to increase sales, including time management and administrative duties, and establish and maintain good customer relations.
- Perform customer education programs (in‑services) as indicated and requested.
- Participate in district and national training meetings and individual study to develop and maintain detailed product knowledge, accurate product use and application, selling skills, and territory management skills.
- Develop and maintain open, positive, and productive lines of communication with the home office staff, including market feedback, reporting product problems, and following division and corporate policies.
- Control expenses within the approved budget, including stationary, office supplies, telephone, samples, dealer and hospital relations, travel, meals, entertainment, and miscellaneous services.
- Complete requested and required administrative duties including weekly call reports, monthly results reports, and additional items as assigned.
- Develop and maintain accurate customer (account) files and communications changes to home office.
- Convert and service urological accounts.
- Sell clinical benefits of Bard’s premium intermittent catheter system.
- Sell DME service offering from Bard Care.
- Collect all necessary documentation and information for a complete shipment and billing for intermittent catheter prescriptions.
- Work at the direction of the District Manager to provide additional support where and when needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 1–2 years of B2B sales experience required, preferably in medical device sales.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state‑issued driver’s license and meet BD’s auto safety standards.
