What you will do

As an OCI Growth Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying, creating, and closing net-new business opportunities across your assigned territory. This is a high-impact hunting role focused on new logo acquisition, competitive displacement, and driving OCI and AI adoption within enterprise customers.

You will proactively engage prospective customers, build executive relationships, and lead complex sales cycles from initial prospecting through to close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive net-new OCI business, new logo acquisition, account expansion, and cloud consumption growth across your assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute targeted territory and account plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, partner engagement, and market outreach.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities to consistently exceed sales goals.
  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from initial engagement through proposal development, negotiation, and close.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with customer executives, business leaders, and technical stakeholders.
  • Influence C-level decision-makers to support transformational cloud and AI initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to displace incumbent technology providers by positioning Oracle's differentiated cloud and AI capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales specialists, presales, customer success, marketing, and partner teams to deliver measurable customer outcomes.
  • Leverage Oracle's partner ecosystem to accelerate adoption and business growth.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and opportunity progression through Oracle sales methodologies.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive positioning, cloud technologies, and AI innovation.
  • Contribute to a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-focused team culture.

    We are looking for:

  • Proven success in enterprise technology sales with a strong focus on new business development and customer acquisition.
  • Experience selling cloud, AI, infrastructure, data, or digital transformation solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets through net-new logo acquisition and business development.
  • Strong prospecting, pipeline generation, and opportunity creation skills.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic territory and account plans.
  • Experience building relationships with C-level executives and senior business leaders.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology solutions to customer outcomes.
  • Experience selling into South African enterprise organisations across industries such as financial services, telecommunications, retail, mining, manufacturing, or public sector is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively across matrixed organisations and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with channel partners and ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Resilience, tenacity, and a highly proactive approach to identifying and winning new business opportunities.
