The Senior Automation Solutions Consultant is responsible for prospecting, scoping, and closing Laboratory Automation Solutions in the Pharma, Synthetic Biology, and Clinical spaces.
The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and is part of the Life Science Automation Team located in Sacramento or San Francisco Bay Area. The role is remote, covering Berkeley, San Francisco Bay, Oregon, and Sacramento. The candidate is preferably located in Sacramento or the San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibilities- Work with Field Application Specialists and Field Project Managers to scope and deliver Laboratory Automation Solutions. Manage market share in your territory and represent the organization in negotiations, trade shows, seminars, conferences, and other official occasions.
- Collaborate with team members to provide best‑in‑class automated solutions.
- Deliver the territory sales quota for hardware and consumables and participate in continuous improvement processes to benefit the entire team.
- Champion Danaher core values, utilize the Danaher Business System, and ensure team engagement toward company growth objectives. Drive Voice of the Customer feedback into the business, advocate for the customer, product quality, and excellent customer solutions, and consistently strive to increase satisfaction.
- BA or BS in Science, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of sales experience in North America with direct and distribution channel partners, with deep knowledge of the Biopharma, academia, government, and life sciences markets.
- Previous exposure to Laboratory Automation is highly desirable.
- Clinical, pharmaceutical, or synthetic biology laboratory experience.
- Strong analytical skills, problem‑solving attitude, solid business acumen, and ability to work in a demanding, fast‑paced, action‑oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel – 25% travel, including overnight stays within your territory or other locations.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Competitive salary range: $115,000–$140,000. Eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, vision insurance, and 401(k) for eligible employees. Remote work arrangement is available for eligible roles.
