Job Summary
Start your career with Transamerica as a Sales Desk Assistant. In this role you will support the internal sales team and external partners, gaining hands‑on experience with workplace retirement solutions. The position is designed for progression toward client‑facing and consultative responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Cedar Rapids home office departments, internal and external wholesalers, Divisional Vice Presidents, channel heads, and internal relationship managers to service and support Transamerica financial partners.
- Assist with the fulfillment of marketing materials, trinkets, sales supplies, and mailing campaigns.
- Provide pre‑sale licensing support, agent appointment approvals, and NAIC suitability training.
- Offer pre‑sale and post‑sale business resolution and follow‑up with the wholesaling team.
- Maintain accurate information in Salesforce, updating records for internal wholesalers.
- Monitor and manage sales supply inventory, including timely replacement of materials.
- Create, assemble, and ship presentation formats and illustrative materials to retail representatives.
- Provide concierge service by collecting information, completing sales applications, and assisting with order entry for approved partner firm advisers.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willingness to obtain Series 6/63 Securities Licenses and resident state Life Insurance License within 18 months of hire.
- Resourceful, well‑organized and able to participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Estimated hourly rate of $23.23. The position may include eligibility for an annual bonus based on company performance and individual results. Salary may vary based on qualifications and operational needs.
