Position OverviewComponents Express is seeking a results-driven Machine Vision Account Manager to support and grow our presence in the industrial automation and machine vision market. This role focuses on building customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering technical solutions that meet evolving client needs.
The ideal candidate has experience in machine vision, automation, or industrial technologies and excels at consultative sales.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts in the machine vision and automation space
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding application needs and recommending solutions
- Promote products such as cameras, sensors, lighting, optics, and vision systems
- Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and presentations
- Collaborate with internal engineering, sourcing, and operations teams
- Track pipeline activity and maintain accurate CRM data
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings
- 3+ years of experience in account management, sales, or business development (B2B sales)
- Experience in machine vision, automation, robotics, or industrial systems preferred
- Ability to understand and communicate technical solutions to customers
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a results-oriented mindset
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
- Initial on-site training required at our Woodridge, IL facility
