Compensation

Gravity offers a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills, expertise, and contribution to the success of our company. The typical base pay range for this role is USD $140,000 - $180,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation. All employees receive stock options as part of compensation packages.

About Us

We are a high-growth, Google Ventures backed start focused on reshaping the energy sector through optimized power distribution utilizing EV batteries as distributed storage. Our cutting-edge chargers (Distributed Energy Access Points) can charge EVs at 500kW – faster than any other charger in America – but are also small enough to be installed in space constrained urban settings. We have deployed our proprietary technology already in Midtown Manhattan, and over the next few years aim to develop the top network nationwide (with contracts to develop 16 more sites already signed).

We are growing our highly skilled, highly motivated team to execute on the huge market demand for our products and enable hyper-scaling.

Job Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and advancing a robust sales engine, generating new leads, and (most importantly) signing contracts with customers to develop charging sites and drive utilization to them.

Responsibilities
  • Developing our sales and site installation engine, including associated metrics, dashboards and analytics, that will allow us to rapidly expand our charging network
  • Working directly with clients to identify high potential charging sites through contract execution and site management
  • Monitoring and constant advancement of the pipeline, CRM, lead scoring, forecasting, benchmarking and goal setting
  • Utilization monitoring and optimization
  • Working directly with the CEO to refine our business development strategy
  • Managing organic inbound leads and developing strategies to increase inbound lead generation
  • Building and executing a sales/marketing outreach strategy
  • Managing sales pipeline from first contact to signed contract
  • Building relationships with major customers to enable rapid scaling of charging site footprint throughout customer portfolios
  • Industry and competitive analysis to ensure we are optimally positioning ourselves within the market
Qualifications
  • 3-8 years of experience in sales, biz dev, consulting or similar
  • Experience building and managing a sales engine at an early-stage start-up (ideal)
  • Initiative, positivity, and a results-based mindset
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues with a diverse set of groups.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
  • Experience using CRM tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and/or other data visualization tools
