Role Overview

Skematic, a business unit of Financial Recovery Technologies, is a rapidly growing startup providing a comprehensive compliance workflow management solution in the Reg Tech space. Primarily serving hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital firms since 2021, Skematic drives efficiencies for compliance teams navigating complex regulation in capital markets. As a Business Development Representative, you will play a key role growing the firm by generating qualified leads for sales wins.
Responsibilities- Drive revenue growth by generating leads and securing meetings so our sales executives can focus on closing deals.
- Make a high volume of cold calls each day to prospects.
- Grow Skematic’s market share by seeking opportunities and converting prospects into qualified leads.
- Set appointments for AEs & CROs, tracking metrics and performance against set targets.
- Work internally with the sales management and marketing teams to ensure proper quality and quantity of all communications with prospects.
- Maintain competence using sales sequencing and CRM tools.
- Desire to make money for Skematic and yourself.
- Track record of high achievement and desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals.
- Self-starter mentality with ability to deal with objections and rejection daily.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism, positive demeanor, and strong work ethic.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.

- Previous experience in a high-volume outbound sales role.
- Experience in financial services, Reg Tech, compliance, or fintech, selling to those clients.

- This is a hybrid role for those within commuting distance to the Medford, MA office; otherwise remote work is considered with candidates in ET/CT time zones.
Salary: base salary depends on experience and can range from $65,000–$75,000 a year, plus a tiered commission structure with no cap.
