As we look to the future, we are seeking an  Area Business Developer – TCL Solar based in Italy

The  Area Business Developer – TCL Solar – will be responsible for managing and expanding TCL Solar’s sales network in the assigned Italian region, working closely with installers, local business partners to identify and develop new business opportunities supporting the distribution partners of the brand.

This role would suit a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, is capable of forming new and developing existing relationships with our partner base and has the vision and experience to manage a closely knit dealer network.

To succeed in this role, you must combine leadership abilities with detail-oriented execution skills and business savvy.

Responsibilities

Build and expand TCL Solar’s local sales network in the assigned Italian region.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with installers, distributors and local business partners.

Identify, develop and follow up new business opportunities for TCL Solar and its distributors.

Support distributors in promoting TCL Solar products and expanding their customer base.

Work closely with installers to understand local market demand, project opportunities and product application needs.

Act as a local business enabler by connecting market opportunities, partner needs and TCL Solar’s commercial strategy.

Collect and analyze regional market intelligence, including competitor activities, pricing trends, installer networks, distributor movements and potential business opportunities.

Support the execution of regional sales and marketing initiatives in coordination with internal Sales and Marketing teams.

Contribute to sales reporting and forecasting by maintaining accurate opportunity tracking, partner updates and follow-ups.

Identify potential utility-scale project opportunities.

Monitor pricing, ASP and receivables in line with internal commercial guidelines.

Travel within the assigned region as required to visit installers, distributors, partners and project stakeholders.

Related Experience & Educational Requirements

Experience in solar PV, renewable energy, electrical equipment, EPC, construction, installation-related solutions or distributor/channel sales is preferred.

Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to engage installers, distributors and local market stakeholders.

Proactive commercial mindset with the ability to identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities in the assigned territory.

Basic technical understanding of solar PV products, applications and installation processes is preferred.

Ability to communicate basic product and application-related information to installers, distributors and business partners.

Good understanding of dealer, reseller, distributor or installer-based sales models is a plus.

Good verbal and written communication skills, with decent English communication ability for working with international teams.

Well-organized, self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently in a home-based and regional field-sales environment.

Ability to collect market information, follow up business opportunities and maintain accurate sales pipeline updates.

Interest in renewable energy solutions, especially PV solar, storage or related technologies.

Other

Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned Italian region (north East, North West or Central-Southern Italy).
