Sales - Field Underwriting Territory Representative

Overview

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies seek a property and casualty field territory underwriter to evaluate, assess, and price risks while leading profitable growth for agency partners in your territory. This position is for our City, State, territory. Positions serving territories away from our headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio are fully remote.

• underwrite: analyzing risks, pricing, negotiating, and making informed decisions on commercial business
• market: selling and soliciting business across all units within the territory to build strong agency relationships
• develop the territory: lead strategic plan development, ownership, and execution of enterprise-wide growth and profit within territory, including new agency appointments
• lead agencies: build deep relationships with assigned agencies to create a diverse and profitable portfolio, maintaining presence within agency offices
• provide leadership: partner with and lead other field disciplines within designated agency relationships to ensure success through communication, support, and collaboration
• research the market: stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, emerging risks, competitors, and communicate decisions based on this information

• a valid driver’s license

• bachelor's degree or 5+ years of industry experience
• proven underwriting experience, minimum 2 years of multiline commercial underwriting; more than 3 years preferred
• relevant insurance industry certifications (e.g., CIC or CPCU) are a plus

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $152,000 annually, with potential annual bonus and stock incentives based on company and personal performance. Applicants in remote territories away from headquarters may be eligible for fully remote work.
