Job Overview

The Medical Specialist (MS) reports to the District Manager and engages customers in the Pulmonary therapeutic area within an assigned geographical region. The role presents clinically focused selling messages to create and drive growth, consistently delivering product goals and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company policies.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong and consistent sales performance related to product goals in a compliant manner, upholding a high degree of integrity.
  • Develop strategy and execute tactics within key accounts in the Pulmonary therapeutic area to generate product utilization.
  • Build strong working relationships with pulmonologists, mid-level experts, nurses, office staff, and other healthcare personnel, as well as key patient advocacy groups.
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues and other field-based and home office teams to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends, and develop strategies that support brand and corporate objectives.
  • Participate in and lead initiatives to support sales success, including industry congresses, local and regional meetings, and medical conferences.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate advanced clinically based selling skills.
  • Proven success and positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with integrity within compliance guidelines.
  • Results oriented with a proven track record of success with product launches.
  • Passionate and proactive in learning science, strengthening knowledge related to disease-state, treatment options, and healthcare trends.
  • Experience with in-servicing and training office staff, nurses, and office managers.
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s degree or other advanced education/certifications a plus.
  • Specialty pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least 2 years selling in the Pulmonary market or a similar subcutaneous self‑injectable biologic specialty market.
  • Ability to travel and cover large geographic territories.
