Job Responsibilities

We're hiring! This position is home based with travel covering the Midwest & Mountain States Region (TX, OK, CO, WY, KS, NE, IA, MO). Must live within the covered territory. Within the assigned territory, develop an in-depth understanding of product functions, related services, competitor offerings, and customer needs.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Develop sales through broad-based activities that include account qualification, aligning products to customer workflow & technical requirements, product demonstration, quoting, and closing. Interact with clinical/technical customer service representatives during the sales process to determine needs and position the Draeger solution.
  • Manage the sales cycle and drive to close, ensuring that the sales quota is achieved in all assigned categories.
  • Provide account follow‑up and support as required in accordance with the strategic plan for the account. Interface with other departments as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and timely follow‑up of customer issues.
  • With direction and oversight from the Business Development Director, implement and drive Draeger sales programs in the assigned territory.
  • Maintain communication with Customer Support, Service Management, Capital Sales and Marketing personnel to share competitive information, account information, market conditions, and customer issues, and to coordinate Draeger Medical resources to the customer.
  • Work with the Business Development Director to develop strategic and tactical plans to ensure attainment of sales targets within the assigned territory both short‑ and long‑term.
  • Maintain all customer information related to sales activity, including prospecting, qualification, funnel management and forecasting within the designated territory.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
Your Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; MBA a plus.
  • Three years of sales experience in a related field; clinical sales or applications experience with product a plus.
  • Experience in a strategic and complex selling environment preferred.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical and relationship‑building skills.
  • Consultative selling skills – ability to understand customer needs and translate them into a business solution by clearly detailing clinical and business benefits.
  • Strong computer skills – MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, DMI quote system software, DMI CRM software; SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to work within a matrix sales organization and drive accountability to meet assigned targets.
  • Must live within the covered territory.
  • Able to travel up to 50%
Compensation

The compensation includes a base salary of $65,000 plus uncapped commission based on sales performance. On Target Earnings (OTE) are $150,000 annually at 100% of quota, with the potential to exceed based on individual results.
