About the Role
Samsara is seeking a Sales Director to join our passionate, high‑energy, and fast‑moving sales team. You’ll lead and support Product Specialist Account Executives focused on Mid‑Market and Enterprise organizations and guide a cross‑functional pod of resources designed to refine GTM and accelerate new product growth globally.
About the TeamThe Specialist team consists of Product Specialist AEs charged with accelerating the growth of a new product through strategic, high‑value deal execution. They cover multiple segments (primarily Enterprise) and are incentivized on quarterly product sales targets. The cross‑functional pod includes dedicated resources across strategy, marketing, product, design and engineering to accelerate product growth globally.
Responsibilities- Hire and lead a high‑performing, inclusive and engaged team of 6‑8 account executives to achieve quarterly targets
- Provide onboarding and ongoing support to ensure the team’s readiness, growth and professional development
- Build close relationships with Mainline AEs, leaders and Specialist Sales Engineers to maximize team selling approach and conversion
- Monitor pipeline closely and team with Mainline owners and Account Development Representatives to create account plans attacking whitespace
- Work cross‑functionally with product, marketing and strategy to rapidly solve problems and optimize GTM motion for the new product
- Champion, role model and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale Specialist support globally

- 8+ years of sales experience with proven performance owning complex selling motions from prospecting through close
- 3+ years of experience managing teams
- Strong track record of over achievement with experience coaching a team on outbounding
- Understanding of complex sales cycles involving multiple decision makers, products and extended time frames
- Excellent communication skills and comfort with public speaking
- Overlay or new product launch sales experience
- Experience working with Product and Marketing to influence GTM strategy
- Ability to operate in strategic partnership with senior AEs and account teams
- Experience with Salesforce, Claude, Gong and other key sales tools
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC and/or Command of the Message sales frameworks
Annual OTE Salary: $420,000 USD
Full‑time employees receive above‑market total compensation through base salary, performance‑based bonus/variable pay, and equity (for eligible roles) in a high‑growth public company. This remote position is open to candidates residing in the United States. If a specific office proximity is required, the job description will specify the location.
