About The Job

In this field-based, specialty sales position, the Zone Business Associate (ZBA) is responsible for the successful promotion of Sanofi-Genzymes Respiratory and Dermatology indications in territories where additional resources or share of voice is required. The ZBA will execute sales launch strategies to meet or exceed demand targets and cover a designated territory on a short- to mid-term basis where a business need for additional coverage has been identified.

Geographic flexibility is required, as ZBAs are expected to spend 4–5 days each week in the territory they are covering, which could be anywhere in the United States. The ZBA will have opportunities to travel and collaborate with members of the Genzyme commercial organization. The ZBA role reports to the ZBA Lead (an FDD) who reports directly to an NSD.

Main Responsibilities
  • Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of FDA-approved indications within assigned territory or territories.
  • Travel to the assigned territory or territories during the coverage period (approximately 4–5 days per week).
  • Develop and communicate deep scientific understanding of therapeutic areas and competitive products within Dermatology and Respiratory marketplaces.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term business relationships with key accounts and key opinion leaders in Dermatology and Respiratory communities.
  • Develop and implement a territory-specific business plan and utilize all available resources to foster a successful sales environment and deliver on business unit objectives.
  • Convey complex clinical and reimbursement information to key stakeholders in a highly competitive marketplace.
  • Execute a customer-centric need-based selling approach with targeted healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate with Thought Leader Liaisons, Area Business Managers, Business Relations Managers, Field Reimbursement Managers, Site Coordinators, Managed Markets, Medical Field and home office teams as required.
  • Conduct promotional programs and achieve and exceed assigned sales targets (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
  • Attend local, regional, and national meetings as directed.
About You Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years in a quota-bearing or target-driven role with demonstrated results (sales, account management, business development, clinical, or healthcare-related fields welcomed).
  • Ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information.
  • Geographic flexibility to travel anywhere in the United States on a weekly basis for weeks to months with significant travel (upwards of 80%+).
  • Comfortable with change and a self-starter who can form relationships with new customers, office staff, and teammates quickly.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to relocate anywhere in the US for potential future sales positions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sales-driven professional with 2–6 years of quota-bearing sales experience in medical device, B2B, or healthcare-adjacent industries with documented performance or top-tier rankings.
  • Healthcare or clinical fluency; background in life sciences or clinical roles is valued for engaging with medical professionals.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Business, or Public Health.
  • Demonstrated upward trajectory in professional experience and leadership or collaboration across functions.
  • Coachable, resilient, and committed to pharma with strong communication and adaptability.
