Job Overview
Pre‑Arrangement Advisors are responsible for generating sales through company‑provided leads from multiple channels. The primary focus is in‑person meetings with families and pre‑planning seminars, but remote sales are also available with company‑provided telecommunication platforms.
Job Responsibilities- Convert company‑provided leads into sales.
- Maintain a network of customers from company‑provided leads.
- Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
- Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs.
- Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any issues that may arise post‑sale.
- Use Sales Force or applicable CRM system daily.
- Attend daily/weekly/monthly calls, training, call blocks, floor time in the office or home.
- Report daily, weekly, monthly sales and appointments to Sales Manager.
- Comply with industry compliance during the entire sales process.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification/License:
Appropriate funeral director license in specific states only. - Complete the PAA Curriculum Certification and Dignity University training within the first 30 days of employment.
- 2–5 years of business‑to‑consumer, inside‑home/remote sales experience (preferred but not required).
- 1–2 years of industry experience (preferred but not required).
- 3–5 years in transferable experience.
- Exceptional level of professionalism.
- Strong telephone, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- High level of compassion and integrity.
- Strong “one‑call/visit close” ability.
- Ability to multi‑task, set priorities, and manage appointments.
- Experience with in‑home and/or seminar‑based sales preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, including tablet use preferred.
- Independent, self‑reliant, and self‑motivated.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Clear and concise written and spoken communication.
- Problem‑solving and timely solution provision.
- Time‑management and organizational skills.
- Entry‑level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Reliable transportation and a cell phone.
- Work indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions; limited local or multi‑location travel.
- Dress code: business casual attire when in contact with customers.
- Postures: frequent, continuous periods of standing and sitting for many hours per day; may be required to climb stairs to access buildings.
- Physical demands: manual dexterity required for paperwork, calculators, computers, tablets, and phone usage; move, push, pull up to 25 lbs.; driving to and from appointments.
- Hours:
varied work hours depending on customer needs; travel locally with distance varying by market.
