We're looking for an outgoing, relationship‑driven professional who enjoys networking, educating others, and making meaningful community connections. This is not a desk job. You will spend most of your time in the community building relationships that generate referrals and private‑pay clients.
Position SummaryThe Community Relations & Business Development Representative is responsible for developing referral partnerships and increasing awareness of First Light Home Care throughout Sacramento and Solano Counties. Success in this role is measured by relationships built, referral sources activated, community visibility, and ultimately private‑pay client growth.

Maintain ongoing communication with referral partners through:
- Weekly visits
- Phone calls
- Email follow‑up
- Lunch‑and‑lunch sessions
- Caregiver appreciation events
- Educational presentations
- Deliver marketing materials
- Maintain referral database/CRM
- Track leads
- Track conversions
- Coordinate community events
- Identify new marketing opportunities
- Weekly reports including:
- Referral visits completed
- New contacts added
- Follow‑up appointments
- Referrals received
- Referrals converted
- Community events attended
- Next week's goals

Weekly:
- 20–25 in‑person referral visits
- 10 new referral contacts
- 10 follow‑up meetings
- 2 community events
- 5 lunch‑and‑lunch or educational meetings scheduled
Monthly:
- 80–100 referral visits
- 30+ new referral relationships
- 15–20 qualified private‑pay inquiries
- 6–10 new private‑pay assessments scheduled
- 3–5 new private‑pay clients started
