Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in freight, logistics, and transportation sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activity.
- Create and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, customer service) to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the strategic growth of the organization.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote the company’s services.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge of transportation regulations, industry standards, and technological advancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, logistics, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of freight brokerage, trucking, warehousing, or supply chain logistics is a strong asset.
- Fluency in French and English required.
